For this trade mission to Texas and the Fancy Food Show in New York City, Phaff Export Marketing will invite European buyers to join. A total selection of 8 European buyers will travel to the US together with Phaff Export Marketing.

This trade mission is commissioned by the Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA).


SUSTA helps small to medium-sized companies with their first steps into new export markets. Together with the Departments of Agriculture of the 15 southern states and Puerto Rico, SUSTA promotes the export of high-value food and agricultural products.

Trade mission

This trade mission consists out of two parts. The first part is visiting Texas. The second part is visiting the Fancy Food Show in New York City.

Together with a delegation of 8 European interested food buyers, Phaff Export Marketing will travel to the US. The program is trade-oriented, with a focus on typical quality American processed food items, like artisanal, beverages, cocktail drink mixes, condiments, GMO and gluten-free, ethnic foods, frozen desserts and entrees, organic and natural, nut butters, sauces, healthy snacks, bakery products, etc.


During the visit to Texas, the European buyers will have one-on-one meetings with US vendors that are interested in exporting to Europe. This gives the SUSTA companies the possibility for first introductions to qualified buyers. Topics that will be discussed during these meetings are, among others, the potential of the products in Europe and the supply window of products. This is also an opportunity for the buyers to try and taste the products.

Besides, retail visits and plant visits will be organized.

Fancy Food Show

Part of this trade mission is the Fancy Food Show. After visiting Texas, the second part of the trade mission will start, which will take place in New York City. Visiting the Fancy Food Show will be part of the program. The Fancy Food Show in New York City is the largest specialty food show in North America since 1952 and invites buyers and exhibitors from all over the world.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show has been rescheduled to September 27-29.

Besides, the visit to this trade show, one-on-one meetings with interested SUSTA companies will be scheduled.

Also in New York City, a retail tour will be organized.

Selection of buyers

For this trade mission, Phaff Export Marketing will invite European buyers. After the final approval of SUSTA the buyers will get the official invitation.
