Because importers were not able to meet new Canadian business partners at CONXEMAR. New Brunswick did bring Canada to Europe, during a digital seafood trade mission.
International Frozen Seafood Exhibition Conxemar
"Conxemar has canceled the 2020 edition of the International Frozen Seafood Exhibition due to the current situation of uncertainty and the impact of the COVID-19".
This exhibition was planned for October 6-8, 2020.
New Brunswick
New Brunswick takes big pride in its seafood industry. When they say they are big on seafood, they really mean it. New Brunswick is home to over 50 fish and seafood species, harvested fresh every day, and exported to more than 70 countries. With a reputation as a world leader, they are committed to sustainability, innovation, quality, and food safety.
Meet potential Canadian business partners during the digital seafood trade mission
Because potential importers were not able to meet potential Canadian business partners at the Conexmar, New Brunswick did bring Canada to you!
New Brunswick Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries and their European consultant, Phaff Export Marketing, organized a digital seafood trade mission. An important part of this digital trade mission is digital matchmaking. This means that European importers were still able to meet potential Canadian business partners.
These digital matchmaking meetings did take place on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of October (original Conxemar dates).
During these days European importers/buyers had the opportunity to meet 5 Canadian seafood companies.
New Brunswick seafood companies
The Canadian seafood companies that participated in the online activity are:
- Bayshore Lobster and Seafood
- International Seafood & Bait
- Partner Seafood
- Produit Belle Baie
- Ocean Blue Fisheries
