Virtual export training for the Southern United States

Rosanne Phaff and Anouk Dijkgraaf will give virtual export training for the Southern United States. This includes an online presentation and a Q&A session.

Phaff Export Marketing is invited to give practical export training during the annual meeting of the Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA), which will be organized virtually this year. SUSTA's State activity members will attend this virtual export training.

As SUSTA's In-Europe consultants, Rosanne Phaff and Anouk Dijkgraaf will host the online presentation and Victor Phaff will provide the answers during the Q&A session.

This virtual export training will take place on the 6th of October 2020.

Export training

The focus of this export training is exporting to the European market. During this export training, starting exporters in the United States will be informed about the challenges of the European market and about the opportunities in the European market, and about how to be ready for this attractive market.

When a vendor from the United States would like to start to export to theĀ  European market, it is important that he understands the market fully.

The export training is existing out of a presentation and individual one-on-one meetings.

  • Trends in the markets
  • Opportunities
  • Entry strategy
  • Terms of payment
  • Terms of delivery
  • Labeling
  • Structure of the supply chain in Europe

One-on-one meetings

Besides the presentations, the exporters can meet the Phaff Export Marketing-staff during one-on-one meetings. During these one-on-one meetings, Rosanne Phaff and Anouk Dijkgraaf will give individual advice, about, for example, entry strategy and packaging regulations for Europe.

Educational program

The export training is part of a larger educational program for SUSTA members, including webinars and export videos. Phaff Export Marketing works on this program during the whole year, to help vendors from the United States, who would like to start exporting.

The Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) is a non-profit organization that facilitates trade between small to medium-sized southern US companies and overseas importers. Since 1973, SUSTA has worked with the Departments of Agriculture of the 14 southern states and Puerto Rico to promote the export of high-value food and agricultural products.
