Phaff Export Marketing hosted a pavilion on behalf of the Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) during IPM ESSEN in 2024. Established in 1973, the Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering trade relationships between small to medium-sized companies in the southern United States and international importers. Collaborating closely with the Departments of Agriculture, SUSTA has been actively engaged in efforts to boost the export of food and agricultural products from the southern U.S.

IPM Essen

IPM ESSEN, renowned as one of the largest horticultural trade fairs globally, took place from January 23 to 26, 2024. The event serves as a vital platform for the green sector, focusing on presenting solutions and innovations. The exhibitors are increasingly showcasing sustainable products suitable for the evolving climate, including heat- and cold-tolerant plant varieties, eco-friendly packaging, organic fertilizers, air-cleaning technologies, and indoor plants that are easy to care for. The event attracts industry professionals from around the world and plays a pivotal role in celebrating the kick-off for the entire sector.

SUSTA pavilion

SUSTA members engaged in various aspects of the plant industry, such as production, technology, floristry, garden features, and point of sale, had the opportunity to co-exhibit in the SUSTA pavilion at IPM ESSEN. Phaff Export Marketing provided comprehensive support to the co-exhibitors, assisting them in the registration process, guiding them during the exhibitions, and highlighting potential follow-up opportunities.

This pavilion at IPM ESSEN presented an excellent opportunity for SUSTA members to forge new business relations with key buyers not only in Germany but also from various other nations. The 2024 edition had 1403 exhibiting companies and more than 36,000 trade visitors from 43 different countries, emphasizing the international significance of this trade show.

The SUSTA co-exhibitors that showcased their offerings at the pavilion included ForemostCo from Florida, Vista Farms from Puerto Rico, Liriope Factory from Louisiana, and US Plant Patents from California.
