The Lone Star State boasts 130 million acres of farm country, totaling 78% of the Texas landmass. A shopping 93% of the farms and ranches are family-owned and operated. And Texas is a top producer of more than 35 different agricultural commodities, over 600 specialty crops, and a top grower in more than 60 of those.
The Texas Department of Agriculture's job is to promote the state's robust agriculture, food, and beverage sectors. And the agency's Trade and Business Development divisions work to specifically connect consumers, retailers, processors, chefs, and agribusiness partners around the world with products that are Texas-made, by Texas makers.
