On behalf of SUSTA, Phaff Export Marketing selected 8 European buyers for the buyer mission to the Fancy Food Show in NYC and Texas.
The program was trade orientated in New York and Texas, with a focus on typical quality American processed food items, like Artisanal, Beverages, Cocktail Drink Mixes, Condiments, GMO and Gluten‐free, Ethnic foods, Frozen Desserts, and Entrees, Organic and Natural, Nut Butters, healthy snacks, bakery products, etc. Texas is the leading state in Agriculture and International Trade. Besides Beef, SUSTA companies from Texas represented BBQ products, nuts, beverages, condiments, snacks, peanut butter, and other high-quality products.
As a result of the mission, EU buyers found new contacts to supply them in the future and US companies got the change to meet one-on-one with qualified buyers from Europe and they had the opportunity to explore the EU market.
One-on-one meetings, market information and a visit to the Fancy Food Trade Show were part of the mission. The Summer Fancy Food Show is a premier event offering SUSTA companies the possibility to meet European buyers and have one-on-one meetings with them. This show has been the largest specialty food show in North America since 1952 and invites buyers and exhibitors from all over the world. In 2017, more than 180,000 specialty food products were on display from roughly 2,600 exhibitors from over 55 countries.
