Supporting SUSTA’s Trade Mission
As SUSTA’s in-market consultant for Europe, Phaff Export Marketing supports the organization of this trade mission to Kentucky and Tennessee. Buyers from across Europe have been invited to explore the heritage of American whiskey, bourbon, and other spirits. The mission provides opportunities for European importers to connect with U.S. distillers and discover new products.
European Participation
The delegation includes companies from the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, France, and the Nordic region, all with a strong interest in importing high-quality American spirits. Through distillery visits, networking opportunities, and business meetings, participants will gain valuable insights into the U.S. market.
Kentucky
Kentucky is the birthplace of Bourbon crafting 95 percent of the world’s supply. This is thanks to the perfect natural mix of climate, corn, and pure limestone water necessary for producing the world’s greatest Bourbon. There are 119 licensed distilleries operated by 97 companies in 41 of Kentucky’s 120 counties.
Tennessee
Tennessee has long been a leader in producing distilled spirits. The number of Tennessee distilleries has grown to the now thirty distilleries across the state. These distilleries range from small, boutique-style operations making traditional and innovative spirits to well-known distilleries that have been making legendary Tennessee Whiskey for generations.
