Phaff Export Marketing is inviting buyers from the United Kingdom to join a trade mission to Texas. The focus of this trade mission is on fresh produce grown in Texas. As the European in-market consultant of the Texas Department of Agriculture, Phaff Export Marketing is involved in the organization of this activity.

Texas Department of Agriculture

The Texas Department of Agriculture promotes the state's robust agriculture, food, and beverage sectors. Besides, they facilitate trade and market development of agricultural commodities ranging from livestock to crops to ensure Texas remains a market leader.

The long-term focus of these Texas activities is to increase exports of southern agriculture and food products from their region. And to increase participation from companies through industry support.

Texas Produce

Texas has the largest number of farms and ranches in the US, this is resulting in Texas playing a large role in global agricultural exports.

While the primary crops of Texas are cotton, corn, feed grains (sorghum, milo, etc), rice and wheat, there is an abundance of other crops, too. From peanuts to sunflowers to sugarcane and more. An enormous variety of vegetable and citrus farms can be found nearly year-round in the Rio Grande Valley at almost all times of the year.

Fresh Produce Trade Mission

The Texas Department of Agriculture will coordinate with Phaff Export Marketing to bring Texas companies face-to-face with buyers from the United Kingdom on a trade mission. As the United Kingdom has transitioned away from the European Union, this trade mission will address the new trade agreements. Additionally, this trade mission will provide local insight and meetings from British buyers as well as outreach to Texas commodity groups and private brands, giving them background on the market and consumers. Insight for specific products will be outlined by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and other sectoral experts. Farm tours will be conducted on the selected commodities for United Kingdom buyers to better understand Texas operations.

Phaff Export Marketing is inviting fresh produce buyers from the United Kingdom. The Texas Department of Agriculture will show the pre-qualified buyers the wide variety of fresh produce the region has to offer. Besides, Texas fresh produce companies can meet the buyers in Texas and show them producing facilities, varieties, testing, packaging, etc. to inform buyers about the high level of quality.
